    Hi Liz

Am still learning the ropes on this blog thing! Phil said he’d gone to Home page of my blog to see comments. Does this work?

Hi Sarah,
Got foto of someone on the training area – or is that the Costa Rican military at work? Claire in hospital still. Returned to Darlo as hospital rang to say they have put her in intensive care. She seems to have stabilised now.

Hi, I will be learning my way around your site too.

Blogs are pretty new to me, and I’ve not posted comments before.

Louise · March 22, 2009 at 10:57 pm

are you there yet

Victoria · March 23, 2009 at 11:20 am

Hi Sarah – latest blog doesn’t seem to be on line yet so look forward to reading it when it appears – sorry to have missed you in Devon, starting to fill up with primroses and lambs and tourists but still lovely all the same! much love Victoria

margaret · March 23, 2009 at 12:12 pm

read about Devon, but nothing to read 11.3.09.

Hope all going well, love Margaret

Hi Sarah,
I have not acccessed your pictures yet. With my level of skill I probably never shall.

barrie · March 31, 2009 at 12:39 pm

Hi Sarah,
You are definitely getting better at it .
All photos and comments clear now.
Cats still alive ,no probs.

I have added the picture of the bus station to my collection of ‘Photos of Bus Stations from Around the World’ Gripping stuff. Nice pictures of mucking about in the river and the big round lake. Looks tempting enough to dive in …but no doubt riddled with pirhanas or other such flesh nibbling monsters.

Hi, we’ve all been to your house this week for a couple of nights. All well, cats nervous to start with, tehn Sedge sat all evening on Si’s lap, Oak got on a few times but soon moved on. Jan has been brilliantly working on your behalf despite her own worries, but we tried to help by buying you a new loo brush and took our own linen. Seems so strange just seeing your clothes and books etc everywhere, as if just gone out rather than away. really relaxing we will go again evry few months. Thanks. Liz & family

I have seen your pictures. Places haven’t changed much in 50 years. A few more people, a few more holes in the road.
You appear to be enjoying yourself so carry on. Love

Been following your adventures with enthusiasm.
Sounds like you are having one helluva time, certainly makes anything I have been up to look pretty tame.
Don’t know whether you are being updated with news from the SOC MTB crew but I guess duplication is better than nothing. Judith & Steve are now married, there have been trips to the Alps and this weekend the Pink Heifers are competing in ‘Sleeples In The Saddle’ expectation is they will get a podium position, so no pressure. I have been to Italy doing some via Ferrata stuff and hoping to get to Scotland this coming week to bag a few more Munros. Planning for Chile is slow but have got some good info. I need to pull it together as a proposal/suggestion so we can at least have ‘A Path to Wander From’. I will be meeing with Hatti week after next when she moves up to the Lake District to start her new job, once I have her input I will deliver my findings. Dave T

Hi Sarah,

Fancy you loosing your mobile right at the end of your tour and forcing me into contacting you by the blog messaging service – nice one! Apart from loosing your phone you sound as if you have had a fantastic time out there – where has it flown too?

Looking forward to catching up with you at the end of Feb when you get back upto Bellerby – hope its not snowbound when you arrive but get the feeling you may need your thermals when you get back up to the frozen north!

Regards, Sheila (Hoping that this technical reply works for me – let me know!)

Hi Sarah! Welcome back and congratulations on your fabulous action-packed adventure. You have done more in your year than most people get into a lifetime – talk about making the most of it. Your photos were fantastic and gave me a flavour of what I was missing – they made a cycle trip across europe look very sedate and we have been completely outclassed in the slide show stakes! I’m sure, as it was for us, the many hardships you have endured on your trip will make you appreciate the luxuries back home – hope they compensate for the return to the world of work.
